One of the biggest revelations that the Holy Spirit has given me is that although God has been busy excavating within my husband to give him a new heart, my heart had not fully received healing. The Holy Spirit wants me to share my testimony to help someone else get free in their marriage because the internal warfare was being used by the enemy to create imaginary need to battle. My mind was stuck on how the past felt. Memories are powerful and God showed me in the quietest manner of correcting me—literally setting my mind on another course—but only after I surrendered. See, I had been fighting within myself to accept the changes I could see in my husband because my mind was still stuck on nitpicking and analyzing his behavior. However, the Holy Spirit asked me why was I questioning my husband about behaviors that were simply aspects of his personality and who He created him to be? He questioned why I was at war within myself unable to believe He had changed his heart. He revealed I was struggling so badly to reconcile that my husband’s heart was not the same because my mind was still the same. My mind was still stuck in the same place still watching and reliving memories; God showed me that my internal warfare was keeping me frozen like Lot’s wife who was turned to a pillar of salt. I could not reconcile the new husband God had excavated and given a new heart with fresh hope for our renewed marriage God blessed us with because I so desperately needed Jesus in order for this healing to be accomplished. The difference was that God was not punishing me for looking back. He was delivering me from the pain of the past but first I had to surrender my mind and my beliefs about my husband to Jesus. The Holy Spirit asked if He could change my mind on some things so He can help me to see my husband how He sees him. I felt that my faith in God had been brought to such a high place when my marriage was restored. It was brought back from the dead. I had been served divorce papers twice and I surrendered my marriage to God knowing it was within His power to deliver my husband from adultery and the works of darkness that had so entangled him and kept us estranged for almost two years. However, although I had seen many miracles in how God has poured His Spirit and His desires into my husband, my faith sank to a low place where I became stuck mentally planted on the painful memories. I was no longer walking in faith with my hand in God’s as a graceful witness of His power in my husband’s life. Somehow along the way, the enemy kicked the bitter pain of the past like grains of salt into the eyes of my heart to cloud my spiritual vision. I became stuck picking my eyes and my faith was paralyzed because my mind was stuck analyzing my husband by what I remembered feeling in the past.
I let my hands fall desperate for God to heal me and to end the war within my thoughts about who I thought my husband should be. I surrendered. I stopped fighting within my mind and I felt the comforting hands of the Lord cradle my thoughts as His Spirit showed me my husband. He has a purpose for him outside of him being my husband and He also has purpose for me outside of being his wife. I have renewed peace and space now for the mental clarity to focus on developing the areas of my life that God wants to use for His glory. Only God could give my husband a new heart– a heart after Him. Why wouldn’t He give me a new mind when my mind was so badly battered by memories I needed to let die? My surrender became the deliverance I needed to see that the battle has already been won. God resurrected us from the ashes of a dead marriage. He was not bringing that marriage back but making US new so that we can build a new marriage on Him this time. God is so patient and faithful not to leave any part of me stuck in the past.
“Do not call to mind the former things,

I’m here to PROCLAIM the day of THE LORD. The day of VICTORY. IN THE NAME OF JESUS. I’m here to proclaim that these immoral seductresses these DESTROYERS are on notice BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS that what seemed like triumph and gains will now be OVERTURNED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD! According to His Word Isaiah 33:1 ~

HOT COCOA WITH JESUS ☕️☕️🤲🏼💝

The Holy Spirit inspired me to create these Christmas card posts called HOT COCOA WITH JESUS to share cheer and encourage intimacy with Jesus. I know it is difficult at Christmas time for many whose prodigals have not returned. Seeking Jesus and reading God’s Word can feel like sharing hot cocoa with Jesus. It’s my hope this Christmas will be filled with His comforting presence and joy. Take a moment to enjoy the Scripture, prayer, or encouraging words. I pray you will go beyond that into the Word seeking moments with Jesus. May these Christmas card posts make you feel like you’re having a cup of hot cocoa with our Lord and Savior for He desires that you know His unfailing love for you. Amen 🙏🏾

Although this is a really special time for my family and I will be taking time to focus on my marriage, the Holy Spirit wants me to share joy with you on this page. It’s important to share love and cheer especially during this time of year. I know it is difficult for many as you long for your prodigals to return home, so the Lord impressed into my heart to spread cheer through His Word. He gave me a vision of Jesus sharing hot cocoa with a stander snuggled next to Him. The television show they watched was the journey of their marriage and they laughed together. He held her while she cried as He pointed out all the times she didn’t know He was cradling the tears that fell from her eyes and all the times He carried her when she felt she couldn’t go on. I want you to feel that and see that. See yourself with Jesus. For your Maker is your Husband and He is with you and will never forsake you.
Although one verse may be posted, do go deeper and beyond 💝
I encourage you to make time everyday to fix yourself a cup of hot cocoa and spend time with Jesus in His Word. He is the Living Word. Snuggle up to His presence and let Him comfort you. You are loved and His love is the miracle we all need everyday.

Father God,

Please forgive us for our sins and help us to be the wives you have called us to be. For such a time as this, I thank You for Your Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Thank You for your Word and Your faithful love over us. I pray that You would hear this corporate prayer for as many as have the faith to pray it over their husbands. As Paul prayed, I pray “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give” (insert your husband’s name) “the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of (husband’s name ‘ ) heart may be enlightened so that (husband’s name) may know what is the hope of His calling, what is the wealth of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the mighty working of his strength” (Ephesians 1:17-19). I pray that He may grant (husband’s name), according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power in (husband’s name) inner being through His Spirit, and that Christ may dwell as the inner Man in (your name and your husband’s name) hearts through faith. I pray that (your name and your husband’s name), being rooted and firmly established in love, may be able to comprehend what is the length and width, height and depth of God’s love, and to know Christ’s love that surpasses knowledge, so that (your name and your husband’s name) may be filled with all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:16-19). That (husband’s name) will “no longer live as the Gentiles” the unbelievers “live, in the futility of their thoughts… darkened in their understanding, because of the ignorance that is in them and because of the hardness of their hearts…” (Ephesians 4:17-18). I pray that (your name and husband’s name) will be an “imitators of God, as dearly beloved children, and walk in love as Christ also loved us and gave Himself for us, a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God” (Ephesians 5:1-2) I pray that (husband’s name) will invite Jesus to live within their heart so that the eyes of his understanding are opened as to how He is to lead and love His wife (your name) with sacrificial love “to make her holy” and that (your name) will submit and “respect her husband” (Ephesians 5:26,33). I pray that husband’s name) will “do God’s will from (their) heart” and that our marriage will bring glory to God (Ephesians 6:6). In the Mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen! Glory to God 🙌🏽🤲🏼🙏🏾
